1. The end of World War I: The United States had been on the winning side of the war and was emerging as a new world power. People felt a sense of patriotism and freedom, as well as a feeling of safety from the strongest military in the world.
2. A Booming Economy: American industry grew as a result of the war. The country had discovered how to produce items that had previously only been produced in Europe and now could be produced in America. Due to this, things could be mass produced and available to the newly created middle class.
